While you can find vineyards and wineries throughout the state, the Grand Valley/Palisade area takes the lead with their bold chardonnay that is a must-try. Denver’s has a few famous distilleries, like Stranahan’s, which is just one stop on Denver’s Spirit Trail, a tour of various distilleries around the city.

Hot Air Ballooning

If heights don’t scare you, experience Colorado in a way few have – high above the mountain peaks as the sun rises, in the basket of a hot air balloon. Many companies are conveniently located near Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs. For meetings and retreats taking place in or around these areas, an early morning hot air balloon tour over the state is the perfect way to start the day. Everyone will be spellbound by the mesmerizing views of the gorges, and chasms, mountain peaks, cliffs, and landscape from this bird’s-eye view. 

Flight season ranges from May to October on average, as wind conditions are optimal. The flight lasts approximately an hour – due to quickly changing weather, which is monitored with extreme caution. Hot air balloon trips are suitable for smaller groups, as there are limits to the number of people allowed per basket. If lucky, you or a team member may even get the chance to fly the balloon!
